Иммигранты на рынке труда Санкт-Петербурга: проблемы интеграции в принимающее сообщество и пути их решения

Currently, the scope of international labour migration is increasing. This is due to the fact that migration is a source of covering labour shortages faced by national economies. At the same time, the research data and official reports indicate a significant number of social problems associated with the integration of labour immigrants into the host societies. The article provides the results of a sociological study, conducted by the authors in 2019-2020. The research involved interviews with legal labour immigrants entering and residing in St. Petersburg. The study has identified the factors that affect the integration of labour immigrants into the host community, identified key integration challenges and outlined possible solutions.
