Культурная история и социальные исследования счастья
Cultural history and sociology of emotions have been actively developing for over forty years. Barbara Rosenwein counts 887 works on happiness written from 1950 to 1980, and 8346 studies from 1981 to 2011. Within this boom the dependence of happiness on the level of economic well-being in modern society has long prevailed. However, in recent years, three problems are widely discussed: the historicity of modern ideas about happiness, their relativity and variability even in the era of modernity; the temporal components of happiness, that is, its direction to the past or the future, and, finally, the inextricable interconnection of ideas about happiness with a large-scale complex of negative emotions and sensations (fatigue and loneliness, resentment and resentment), the therapeutic antidote to which is the normative model of happiness as well-being.
