Family Social Capital as a Predictor of Parents and Adolescents’ Subjective Well-Being (the Case of Russia)

The research examines the role of the family social capital for parents and adolescents’ subjective well-being. As the construct "family social capital" is relatively new, the article presents data of validated methods for measuring it. I interviewed Russians (n=397) to identify whether family social capital is a significant predictor of parents and adolescents’ subjective well-being. Current results indicate the studied construct to be a predictor of adolescents’ subjective well-being. As for parents, this construct can be a predictor of their subjective well-being in case to consider their level of income.
