‘Our Team Consists of True Leaders in Their Respective Academic Disciplines
The HSE International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis studies a wide range of methods for analysing decision-making and possible scenarios for the development of natural, socio-economic, and political phenomena using various mathematical models. The application of advanced mathematical methods to forecasting helps to prevent negative outcomes and avoid erroneous decisions. The HSE News Service spoke to the centre’s director, Prof. Fuad Aleskerov, about its work.

Management of Co-evolutionary Complexity: Some Methodological Considerations

P. 79–85.
Knyazeva H.

The nature of co-evolutionary complexity of society and the ways of its management are under consideration. Co-evolutionary complexity emerges in the process of joint and concordant development of structures and organizations. Management of complexity is possible as ensuring its innovative self-management. The role of external control actions increases under conditions of uncertainty and crisis in society. Co-evolution means the art to live together and to co-exist in one and the same tempo-world. It is substantiated that an extended ecological discourse based on the notion of Umwelt is useful in the modern management activity.

Acceptance of enterprise AI search requires checking answer correctness and access controls, defining acceptable errors, and assessing whether testing is sufficient. A record for individual acceptance criteria was developed. Its eight fields link requirements and risks to system configuration, testing, and the acceptance decision. The fields are mapped to provisions in four Russian standards. The ...

We present a model for the equilibrium state of a hierarchical supply mesomarket based on a single type of raw material. This model illustrates Hayek's knowledge problem, covering dispersed knowledge, the role of the price system, entrepreneurship, and spontaneous order. The mesomarket is depicted as a tree-like network, with nodes representing micromarkets that balance local supply ...

We present a hierarchical supply mesomarket model based on a single raw material to illustrate the emergence of mesoeconomic units. The mesomarket is depicted as a tree-like network, with nodes representing micromarkets that balance local supply and demand and edges representing competing firms that produce similar goods. Raw material producers are positioned at the root, ...
