The paper focuses on facilitation methods, one of the most rapidly developing areas of applied psychology. A new approach to development of group efficacy based on a range of facilitation techniques and methods is proposed. Facilitation reveals itself as a robust tool of group dynamics improvement. The paper summarizes the rich Western experience of implementing the facilitation technologies and reveals the utility of its application to facilitate organizational and social change in enterprises.
This article describes the seven main directions for descriptions of the subject area of Applied Psychology in Russia with examples and analysis of business psychology. At the end of the article there is a list of 10 items for describing the subject of Applied Psychology.
The article discusses the problems of person-organization fit. On the one hand, there is a process of theoretical understanding of the construct “person-organization fit” through the relationship with relatives within the meaning of constructs “person-job fit”, “person-group fit”, “person-environment fit”, and even a “congruence of the individual values and organization”. On the other hand, the question remains about the validity of the measurement tools of fundamental and applied research in this area. As a possible way out of this situation, the opportunities of using binomial regression are offered.
The goal of the research is to determine the behavioral indicators of sincere service, showcasing the sincerity in hotel industry personnel performance, and to discover the degree of their influence to client evaluation of the provided services. The research was conducted by means of the original survey methodology, structured interview and non-participant observation. The main personnel behavioral factors shaping the hospitality client perception of sincerity in services were determined. Moreover, the interdependence between the perception of sincerity in service and the service quality perception by hospitality clients was discovered.
The formation of modern management teams and project teams in the organization in the style of agile structures attempts of search and selection of people with appropriate skills and individual characteristics such as flexibility, creativity, willingness to take risks, tolerance of ambiguity. Since any collective action largely depends on the characteristics of the people included in it, the article attempts to examine how compatible with the requirements of co-creative activities are individually-psychological characteristics of members of small groups as the authoritarian personality and altruistic setting assist others.
