The scope of ethical review has expanded significantly in recent decades. It went far beyond the narrow subject limitations such as medical and psychological experiments. Now it includes the evaluation of the actions, works of art, humorous sketches, etc. The purpose of the study is to determine the roll of the ethical expertise institution in society. In the course of the study, the ideas of content consumers about the need for ethical examination of a work of art were analyzed, methods of comparative and contrastive analysis were used.
