Психологизация современной городской молодежи: дискурсивный подход к исследованию
The article presents a study of the psychologization of modern urban youth. In the most general form, psychologization is understood as understanding the phenomena of social life and personal experience with the help of psychological constructs, as well as the use knowledge of psychological concepts in building relationships and building one’s own identity. Against the backdrop of a surge in demand for practical psychology and psychotherapy in our country in recent years, interest in psychology has been actively growing among urban youth, which determines the relevance of this study. The discursive approach to psychologization made it possible to operationalize it as a common psychological discourse, i.e. as various linguistic practices of the application of psychological concepts, terms and concepts that modern young people use are used in everyday life. The identified functions of psychological discourse have made it possible to come closer to understanding how it helps young people organize and comprehend their experience, and therefore constructs their reality. As a result of a series of focus groups, it was revealed that the psychological discourse of young people is formed by two interpretative repertoires: «serious psychological problems» and «meme». The tasks solved by these repertoires form the functions of psychological discourse: coping function, normative function, instrumental function, and social identity function. First of all, for young people, psychological discourse is a form of description of personal experiences and experiences, an attempt to comprehend what is happening in the inner world and in relationships with other people. The normative function says that psychological discourse supplies stable benchmarks and standards of behavior in society. Psychological terms in the active vocabulary of young people also function as tools for regulating interaction. In addition, discourse allows to differentiate age and generational differences and determine their generational identity. The study also identifies points of discourse tension that can indicate the dynamic, flexible and developing nature of the psychologization of modern urban youth.
