One of the priorities of the national policy is the development of national cultural autonomies and other public associations of an ethnocultural orientation, their involvement in the implementation of the tasks of the state national policy of the Russian Federation. National cultural autonomies have their own legal status determined by the current legislation. Their development and effective functioning require legal regulation. The present study identifies gaps in the legislative regulation of the activities of national cultural autonomies and formulates proposals for its improvement.
