The purpose of this article is to analyze the radical changes in the nature of labor and employment in connection with the coming fourth industrial revolution. Capitalism is undergoing major changes, even in its key categories: labor, value, capital. The share of human labor in the capitalization already dropped sharply in the last ten years and with the modern proliferation of the Internet of things, the fourth industrial revolution creates far fewer jobs than the others did. The ideal of Fordism, professionals with a narrow specialization for the whole life is on its way to oblivion. The ideal worker of the future is a creative person combining the competence of heterogeneous industries with adaptability. The education system is also changing: universities around the world seek to combine various forms of training to keep pace with rapidly changing technologies. Education tends to individualize and becomes a luxury. New industrial revolution, based on the convergence of technology, can create a more inclusive and humane society, but this requires joint efforts of government, business and society. Without this combined effort the coming industrial revolution will result in massive technological unemployment and a sharp increase in inequality.
