The article deals to the conceptual vision of the tasks of human education in today's rapidly changing and diverse world. Particular emphasis is placed onthe new literacy, which began to include research abilities that allow a person to work with novelty, uncertainty, and variability. Learning as discovery takes on different formats. The International Intellectual Games in Yakutia Region starts with a marathon of tasks, their goals are to involve schoolchildren in research activity to learn the world around them by all available means. It is expected that such practice will be aimed at developing the research abilities of pupils, which is significant in the modern world.
