Empirical research is devoted to the processual conditions for the success of solving problems, including the emergence and development of cognitive needs experienced in the form of intellectual emotions. During the procedure twenty subjects solved two problematic tasks of scientific and artistic content, assessing intellectual emotions at each stage according to the authors methodic. The results show that in solving problems, the forms of experiencing cognitive need are associated with the stage and content, and have an impact on success.
