The article provides an overview of the development history of lace design in Russia and in the world. The analysis was conducted of the modern methods of design and production of the lace fabric. The authors analyzed traditional lace manufacturing technologies along with innovative technologies based on the digital 3D clothing design. The problems of preserving the lace weaving skill and the transfer of its methods to subsequent generations were revealed. One of the types of folk arts and crafts — lace, was considered. It is a technology based on the manual method of weaving threads to create a lace fabric; during the process a textile product with an ornamental design is formed, which does not have a woven base formed as a result of weaving.
Features, form, weaving technique and ornamental features of five types of lace-making — Mikhailovsky lace, Izheslavl lace, Zhuravinsky lace, Skopinsky lace, Ryazan lace, were studied. A step-by-step technology for designing bobbin lace was presented.
The article discusses modern ways of implementing the creative potential of designers through NFT technologies. A method that allows to access a piece of art without distortion and intermediate stages in any part of the world. The authors present developments in the field of innovative clothing design technologies. Creation of digital clothing and lace fabrics in the 3D clothing design system. The program features allow to lay down the physical and mechanical properties of materials that affect designing of the functional and decorative elements of clothing implemented in a digital environment. Information about the appearance of a material, its texture, fibrous composition, weave, basis weight, thickness, and colour. The use of technology enables freedom of thought and creativity to create unique and highly artistic products in the field of art. Transferring traditional lace to digital clothing provides the opportunity to familiarise with a wide range of consumers and art connoisseurs with given type of arts and crafts; contributes to the destruction of stereotypes regarding traditional bobbin lace; and provides an opportunity for a full and unique future. Preserving the traditions of ornament and colour is the most important component of bobbin lace. Translated into the NFT language, technologies can become a fixation of the lace element in the digital field for many millennia in the context of human history. The integration of unique manual technologies into the digital environment contributes to the simultaneous preservation of the history of arts and crafts and the progress of this type of folk craft in the innovative future.
