The COVID epidemic has led to rethinking of the issue of mobility and space. Resulting massive relocation of city dwellers to the countryside gave rise to new ideas about the benefits of rural life, which found reflection in social networks. An analysis of Instagram accounts dedicated to rustification shows not only a sharp increase in profile visits, but gives grounds to talk about shaping of a new “country myth”. Despite the fact that most of the authors of posts and comments have only recently moved to the countryside, or have nothing to do with it at all, they excitedly advocate the benefits of rural life, represented as an incarnation of the once lost and regained paradise.
