Роль Чужака. Почему наследие так мало интересует местных жителей?
"When the gods died and the faith that inspired their veneration vanished, then the temples that belonged to them lost their landmark beauty and became mere stones and walls. Another historical world could only use them as a thing in which no spirit dwells any longer." In these words, the German philosopher Joachim Ritter expressed a principled attitude toward cultural and historical heritage that is characteristic of all traditional societies without exception. Structures whose religious or functional significance has been lost here become dust or building material for other constructions in which new gods are settled. Practices of cultural heritage preservation only emerge along with the advent of modern (modern) society. This is all the more paradoxical because modern societies are radically ahistorical, they emerge by breaking with tradition.
