Переводы «Отче наш» в истории удинского языка
This paper presents an overview of the existing translations of the Lord’s Prayer into Udi (Lezgic group, Nakh-Daghestanian family). The translations include one published by Armenian archbishop Mesrop Smbatian (1896), one by a priest from Vartashen, Semen Bezhanov (published in 1902), one by writer Georgi Kechaari from Nizh (early 2000s), the version used in the Chotari Gergec church in Nizh (late 2000s), one from the Gospel of Luke published in 2011, and the translation of the Lord’s Prayer from the not yet published Four Gospels. The main focus in the paper is on the most recent translations into the Nizh dialect of Udi. Four of the translations are accompanied by interlinear glossing and a discussion of their specific linguistic structure.
