2018. № 9. С. 69–80.
Abylkalikov S.

The article is devoted to the analysis of internal and external migration processes in Venezuela, using the statistics of population censuses about migrants stock. The country has both quite typical for the Latin American countries, as well as some unique features of migration. Despite the attempts to implement regional development programs, there is a concentration of the population in the narrow list of states. The country has been hosting international migrants for a long time. There is an increase in emigration and a decline in immigration in recent decades. The new wave of outflow from the country began in 2014 due to the economic crisis. The scale of the current migration outflow can only be determined after the new censuses of the 2020 round.

This handbook provides ...

The article proposes a syntagmatic analysis of three historically constituted regimes for working with the future: linear determination, statistical branching, and loop reconfiguration. A syntagm is understood as an event-operation that exists only in its performance and simultaneously binds material, semiotic, and pragmatic registers. The analysis proceeds not as an intellectual history but as an ...

Nikulina Y., Jamali Jaghdani T., Götz L. et al., / Series "Working Papers". 2026.

The results indicate that subsidies ...

№ WP3/2026/02.
The paper is the first attempt in the Russian literature to assess returns to platform employment in the Russian labor market. The theory offers no clear predictions regarding its impact on workers’ earnings: there might be both a premium and a penalty. We distinguish three groups of workers: employees; self-employed using internet-platforms; self-employed not using ...

Ustyuzhanin V., Zinkina J. V., Korotayev A., / Series "SocArXiv". 2026.
“Leaderlessness” is widely held to be a defining feature of contemporary mass mobilization, yet the claim rests on a handful of recent cases. We offer the first systematic cross-national analysis of this phenomenon from 1791 to 2019. We show that the absence of leadership is real but older and more modest than claimed: the share ...
