"Настоящая лаборатория научной работы": казанский семинар "Античный понедельник" в контексте понятия научной школы

The article views the history of the academic seminar Antichny ponedelnik (Classical Monday) existing at the Department of General History (in 1991-2013 Department of Ancient and Medieval History) of the Kazan’ University since 1966. To characterize its early stage the new archive material is considered; an assessment is given to the role of the seminar’s founder A.S. Shofman in its work. The article concludes that the wide-spread idea of the seminar as a wholesome academic school corresponds to the definition of this notion given in the sociology of science.
