Медиакоммуникативная компетенция как объект овладения при обучении иностранному языку
Introduction of media materials has always been considered as one of the effective methods applied for teaching foreign languages. In the modern world the media has significantly changed its character, its content and functional purpose has become more sophisticated. In this regard, there should be conducted specific training of university students aimed at development of competence to work with media texts in conditions of their sometimes ambiguity, provision of contradictory and sometimes unreliable information. This training is becoming more and more challenging at the time of global competition and mobilization of all the means of "soft power." Students should acquire media-communicative competence - the ability to search, find, perceive, comprehend, interpret, and critically evaluate information from media in a foreign language.
