Personal Health Systems Technologies: Critical Issues in Service Innovation and Diffusion
Personal health system (PHS) technologies can enhance public and private health service delivery and provide new business opportunities in Europe and around the world. Although much PHS technology has already been developed and could potentially provide virtually everyone with access to personalized healthcare, research driven primarily by a technology push may fail, because it fails to situate PHS within the wider health and social care service systems. In this article, we explore the scattered PHS research and innovation landscape, as well its relevant markets, using several types of analyses: bibliometrics, patent analysis, social network analysis, stakeholder workshops, and interviews. Our analyses aim to identify critical issues in the development and implementation of service systems around PHS technologies.
In this paper we propose the software system CORDIET-Helthcare which we are currently developing in collaboration with the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Moscow Higher School of Economics and the GZA-hospital group located in Antwerp. The main aim of this system is to offer healthcare management staff a user-friendly and powerful data analysis environment. Using state of the art techniques from computer science and mathematics we show how CORDIET-Helthcare can be used to gain insight in existing care processes and reveal actionable knowledge which can be used to improve the current way of working.

In the paper the matters of development of corporate governance and strategic management information support systems are considered. For management purposes related with development of such systems a methodological approach is proposed. The approach stipulates three management levels: upper (the level of the system in whole), middle (the level of subsystems) and lower (the level of development projects). General management functions such as design, planning and control are considered within the managerial scheme. Feedforward and feedback relations between certain management functions, including functions of different hierarchical levels, are described.

We present robustness of the firm as an uninterrupted exchange of resources between the firm and owners of resources - stakeholders. We derive the model on the mutually accepted conditions of exchanges for the major resources and indicate the firm's limits to manipulate the exchange conditions. We also argue that temporary benevolent behavior of the firms towards one or several its stakeholders leads to accumulation of stakeholders' quasi-rent and contributes to the overall robustness of the firm.

Abstract: Nowadays innovation development and creation of the link between science and business becomes actual more and more. This problem could be decided by making conditions which facilitate innovation ecosystem emergence. Theoretical aspects of innovation ecosystem are considered in the article. By the example of Silicon Valley, case study of innovation ecosystem is observed. As a result of the paper, we provide some recommendations on innovation ecosystem emergence and management.
