The report is considering some features of the Spanish-Russian cultural dialogue in the context of historical development of relationship between Spain and Russia. At comparative studying of the Russian and Spanish national cultures the special attention is paid to a question of a ratio of the general and specific, universal and local. The Russian-Spanish cultural dialogue throughout several centuries enriches a cultural context of the nations, allows to understand more stoutly a very tectonic structure of culture, its deep shifts. In the modern world only combination of openness of national cultures with preservation and development of national traditions is able to afford to avoid unification of cultures. Doesn't raise doubts that the major part in this process has to be assigned to translation and comparative researches.
