BRICS+ y la arquitectura del nuevo orden mundial
The main objective of this article is to analyze the transformation of the world order in the context of the transition to a multipolar system, in which the BRICS+ alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) would play a key role. This article addresses the problem of leadership in the absence of an absolute hegemonic power, analyzing hypothetical configurations of states in groups with Gx format (called “polycentric directory") as possible alternatives to the obsolete institutions of Western dominance. The present study approaches the analysis of the BRICS+ as a global project that has the potential to transform international relations. However, its success is conditioned by the balance between the sovereignty of the participants and the effectiveness of collective decisions. This article offers a comprehensive view of whether the alliance can become the core of a new world order or remain an instrument of tactical resistance to Western hegemony
