Восточное слово и западный символ: метапоэтический сюжет в "Западно-восточном диване" Гете
The article analyzes poetological motifs and images that compile an independent metapoetic plot in Goethe’s “West-Eastern Divan”. From the point of view of the author of this article, the unity of the book is determined by means of the subject motif of the "oral", "stated" word. This Word becomes the cornerstone of both the natural "living» form (Gestalt) and the poetic form. Thus on the border of different cultures Goethe creates his art conception which eliminates the distinction between an eastern poetic word constructed on hints and allusions escaping its exact definition and western plastic form of a symbol.

This article is based on the analysis of the commentaries to Goethe’s “West-Oestlicher Divan” for a new bilingual edition; the purpose of these commen- taries was to explore the inner wholeness of a book created at the boundary of Eastern and Western cultures, and also its metapoetical plot. The problem of the commenting is that the whole plot is “beaded” on the frame of Eastern poets’ quotes and images – precise, minimally changed, retold, versified, often given without quote marks, as if “dissolved” in Goethe’s works. These quotes are fit into various contexts and create a special “evasive” book form, where the meaning of a word “blinks” from between sep- arate words, voids, cycles, finding its way into Goethe’s paraphenomenal symbolic re- ality that is one for the poetic word-symbol, nature, East and West.
In this paper the author explores how such phenomena of consciousness as a symbolization and a functioning of cultural phenomena are interrelated. It seems important to find out specifics of symbol as a product of symbolization, distinguish it from the other logical-semantic categories. To solve these problems, in general, the author turns to Losev’s and Cassirer’s approaches. As a result of the investigation, it becomes clear that there is a symbolic function of consciousness, which is primarily responsible for mediating of the material human perception, providing a principle for the organization of entire systems of meanings. The main paper thesis is the following: the principle of symbolical organization of the content plays a key role in the process of applying the meanings to the reality. So, it proves that the formation and functioning of the sphere of cultural phenomena is strongly influenced by symbolical principle.
The educational textbook in an accessible form is given to the representation of such complex issues as the nature of myth and features of mythological mentality. The myth is considered in comparison with some of the genres of folklore (fairy tale, legend) and in connection with the pagan ritual. In the Appendix to the book includes works of the classics of Russian folklore and Ethnography (F.I. Buslaev, A. N. Afanasiev, A. N. Veselovskii, A. A. Potebnia, D. K. Zelenin, V. Ya. Propp, V. N. Toporov, etc.). The book is intended for high school students, who are interested in the problems of Philology, And may be used by them in their own creative work. The book will be interesting for teachers of literature.
In his article Vladimir Kantor explores the destiny of Russia intelligentsia within the context of cultural crisis that took place at the turn of XIX and XX centuries, analyzing the Vekhovs, a group of leading intellectuals who ran a collection of essays, titled "Vekhi", studying their relationship towards that Russian cultural phenomenon. To author, the intelligentsia is considered as a critical factor in the development of Russian history. Within a context of the struggle around the "Vekhi", by referring to famous philosophical and literature books, published in 1909, the author focuses on relationships between intelligentsia and ordinary people, their attractive and repulsive interaction, which represents the key theme of the Russian destiny. Any historical movement occurs through tragedy; heroes who move the history have to sacrifice themselves to provide that movement. Confirmation to that idea would be rejection and exclusion of the Russian intelligentsia from the country's mentality throughout a number of generations which ultimately led to its tragic being.
The paper is focused on the study of reaction of italian literature critics on the publication of the Boris Pasternak's novel "Doctor Jivago". The analysys of the book ""Doctor Jivago", Pasternak, 1958, Italy" (published in Russian language in "Reka vremen", 2012, in Moscow) is given. The papers of italian writers, critics and historians of literature, who reacted immediately upon the publication of the novel (A. Moravia, I. Calvino, F.Fortini, C. Cassola, C. Salinari ecc.) are studied and analised.
In the article the patterns of the realization of emotional utterances in dialogic and monologic speech are described. The author pays special attention to the characteristic features of the speech of a speaker feeling psychic tension and to the compositional-pragmatic peculiarities of dialogic and monologic text.
