Фронтир семантики и прагматики в философии языка
This article offers a critical analysis of the classical dichotomy between “what is said” and “what is implicated” in philosophy of language. The author argues that a rigid separation between semantics and pragmatics is insufficient to account for the full spectrum of linguistic meaning. Key examples examined include use-conditional meaning, which is conventional yet affects only felicity conditions; pragmatic enrichments (including explicatures and generalized implicatures), which, conversely, can influence the truth value of an utterance. Through an analysis of these borderline cases, the study demonstrates the existence of a conceptual “frontier”, a zone of interaction between semantic and pragmatic components of meaning. The final section provides a critical discussion of contemporary theoretical approaches to the meaning components described in the article.
