The problem of digital trust and readiness to use digital technologies among adolescents and parents in Russia
The goal of the paper is to study digital trust and readiness to use digital technologies among adolescents and parents. To achieve this goal we have conducted the empirical validation of the construct “Digital trust and readiness to use digital technologies”, developed methods for measuring it, and conducted a descriptive analysis of the data obtained on it among adolescents and parents. A descriptive analysis of the data showed that in almost all indicators of digital trust and readiness to use digital technologies, there are both similarities and significant differences between parents and adolescents: adolescents demonstrate higher digital trust and readiness to use digital technologies in their daily lives than their parents. The discussion provides possible explanations for the identified similarities and differences, as well as ways to overcome the problem of low digital trust and readiness to use digital technologies in Russia.
