СОЦИОКУЛЬТУРНЫЕ ДЕТЕРМИНАНТЫ СТАНОВЛЕНИЯ ГРАЖДАНСКОЙ ИДЕНТИЧНОСТИ РОССИЯН
The problem of civic identity in the modern world is relevant. The attitude towards one’s civic identity is an important component of the individual’s consciousness, on which the activities, communication, behavior, and interaction of both speci c people and social communities largely depend. The formation of civic identity is carried out under the in uence of a number of factors during the socialization of the individual. Sociocultural factors in uencing the formation of personal identity are determined by the ethnocultural system. In the presented work, the emphasis is on testing the in uence of cultural, historical, and political factors on the formation of the civil identity of Russians. The indicators of the cultural factor were values, the historical factor was perceived discrimination, and the political factor was trust in authority. The study was conducted with the participation of 1014 respondents, among whom there were 527 female respondents and 487 male respondents. The average age of the study sample was 41 years. The respondents were residents of Mos- cow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Perm, as well as representatives of the Leningrad and Moscow regions, as well as the Perm Territory. The study revealed the extent of Russians’ civic identity, their dominant values, perceived civil discrimination, and the level of trust in government. It was established that trust in the president, the government of the Russian Federation, and the Russian army has the strongest in uence on the formation of a positive civic identity. The key positive regressor in relation to civic identity is the value «Tradition». Perceived civic discrimination has minimal impact on the formation of civic identity of modern Russians.
