Моделирование ценовой эластичности спроса на авиационные перевозки в условиях ограниченности статистических данных
The paper aims to suggest a model that describes the influence of airfares on air transport demand in the Russian aviation system. The authors propose an approach and mathematical model for estimating price elasticity of demand for air travel in the Russian federation, both at the national level and on a single route. In the absence of sufficient statistical information, they solved the problem of insufficient data on fares by using an additional regression model to determine the relationship between fares and distance. The results contribute to airline professionals and stakeholders by offering a tool for estimating the impact of changes in air fares on demand for air transport in Russia, which can be used to solve various problems related to aircraft design and operations. The article shows how the model can be applied to assess potential changes in demand when replacing existing aircraft with more advanced models on specific routes and throughout the entire Russian aviation system.
