Annotation: The case was developed in partnership with HR Director of Posuda JSC - a representative of multinational company Paşabahçe, a leader in glassware manufacturing in Russia. The case study aims at exploring organisational culture and organisational change which are adamant conditions for a contemporary business to successfully adapt to a fast-changing environment. Some experts claim that about 70% of all organisational changes are subject of a failure. The research suggests these failures attribute not only to poor planning and issues with implementing the change, but also to human errors since “organisation’s employee mentality and behaviour prove more difficult to change than technological advances, machinery or organisational structures”. The case offers a description of a rather complex scenario requiring implementation of an organisational change – the culture of safety – at Posuda factory, a provincial subsidiary of Paşabahçe-Russia. The case aims at undergraduate as well as masters’ students studying Management. It can be used in teaching on the subjects of Organisational Change, Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour. The case study may be appealing for international audience as it uncovers differences in corporate cultures of headquarters and foreign subsidiaries.
