The article analyzes the issues of participation of translators in the Nuremberg trials of 1945-1946. Aspects related to the selection of translators, as well as their direct work in Nuremberg, are considered from the standpoint of translation studies, linguistic and psychological views. The article uses the memories of Nuremberg translators, their experience and views on various problems and difficulties of a communicative nature that arose during the meetings of the international military tribunal over Nazi criminals. An analysis of various situations in the context of judicial translation activities at the Nuremberg trials allows us to draw a number of conclusions that may be relevant and truly applied in judicial translation practice.
