The article is devoted to the problem of training court interpreters in the Russian Federation. The article emphasizes that a court interpreter is a necessary figure within the framework of a court session, since not all participants in a trial always speak the language of legal proceedings. The court interpreting market in Russia is decentralized; the main burden of selecting interpreters falls on judges who select interpreters from translation agencies. Examples of training programs for court 338 interpreters in Russia are given, the advantages and disadvantages of the presented programs are analyzed.
