The article analyzes the idea of a multiplicity of worlds as virtual ones. Gained its popularity in the second half of the 20th century, such an approach states that the universe can be considered as information – as a set of bits and logical operations with them (or as program code).
The hypothesis substantiates the information as a fundamental reality that gives rise to everything else (primarily, to all perceived as physical) – random simple programs that arise spontaneously from some initial state can give rise to the observed diversity and complexity.
The article analyzes the philosophical concept of the multiplicity of worlds, which states everything conceivable as possible and, therefore, real but implemented in other worlds. Peculiarly, its limitation shows us that it can be expanded by engaging the idea of a digital universe. In this case, not only conceivable by a person stays in focus, but generally, everything expressible with bits (units of information) and interactions between them (operations). This scenario allows the possibility of everything presentable as a sequence of ones and zeros. Such a possibility is substantiated to be equivalent to actuality – implementation of the unobservable in other worlds and implementation of other worlds. Such a multitude of worlds model can be considered a limit model – as the most general and embedding all other many-worlds models.
