Instability in the global sports industry pushes governments to pay attention to the internal structural problems of sports management. Dynamically changing world order, reversal of political and value milestones of states specify the peculiar relevance of religious, cultural, geographical and other ties when creating new formats of sports projects and competitions. The monopolar world idea prevents the modern striving for diversity in all areas of life, including sports. This article presents the results of studying sports policy and comparative analysis of sports management models in the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) in the context of public regulation and possible prospects for joint development.
