The relevance of the costly interpretation of the substance of value/value as the basis of stable exchange proportions in the markets of goods produced in the absence of significant technological changes (directly proportional relationship of costs and results) and, as a result, the need to switch to a resultant interpretation in other conditions is substantiated. The universal characteristics of cyclic processes are considered, among which the duality of human life itself is of particular importance, bifurcating into a goal (life as such) and a means (work as a part of life that ensures life as a whole).
