The study analyzes the current legislation regulating measures of social support for children with disabilities and the families in which they are raised. The measures of social support fixed at the federal and regional levels are analyzed and systematized. The legislation and law enforcement practice of applying social support measures to children with disabilities and the families in which they are raised at the local government level are also analyzed. The paper analyzes and predicts the demographic situation and the number of children with disabilities. Based on the results of the study, proposals were formulated to improve the current model of social support for children with disabilities, and proposals were made to improve the current legislation. The results of the study can be used in the educational process in the disciplines of "Social Security Law", "Sociology". Analytical data can be used in legislative and law enforcement practice.
