The article is devoted to left political and social organizations in Venezuela in conditions of a systemic crisis. In recent years, their cooperation with the executive branch has become very difficult; some associations have gone to opposition to the government of Nicolas Maduro. The disagreements in the camp of socialist forces took place in the context of the complex and painful market reforms of the country's leadership. The confrontation between ideologically similar movements has become another feature of the socio-political situation in this Latin American State. It testifies the fragmentation of society and demonstrates the regime’s unwillingness to negotiate even with the ideological supporters. The research pays special attention to the positions of political parties, as well as trade unions and identifies the disagreements between the parties, gives their interpretation and analyzes the policy of the Chavists. In difficult conditions, political expediency and loyalty become especially important and the ideology goes to the background. The study is based on the latest data and contributes to understand contemporary situation in the Bolivarian Republic
