География коронавируса и вопросы туризма
The COVID-19 pandemic is a global problem, and geographical analysis can reveal important spatial features and patterns essential to combat it. A number of geographic factors are influencing the spread of the coronavirus. These are large cities and central places, urban agglomerations and economically active territories, transport hubs and flows, tourist centers and popular destinations, coastal zones and foothill areas, and, possibly, climatic conditions. The pandemic will require new research methods, characteristics and indicators from geography. Tourism was one of the reasons for the rapid global spread of the coronavirus, and the tourist service was one of the first industries affected by the problem. The pandemic and possible epidemiological risks will affect the territorial organization of society. In the future, the tourism sector will revise not only the organization of infrastructure and the operation of the service, but also build a different industry structure, and will develop under the influence of changed needs.
