In the age of global instability and crisis of current political systems the tactics of protest camps became widespread inspiring people to occupy and politicize public urban spaces due to the fact that cities have become the cores of politics. In this paper the spatial contests of cities of the USA and Spain are compared. These particular protests are significant events that became symbolic for protest camps, that's why through them the existing strategies and tactics of contention used by protesters are contrasted.
