A number of leading schools, despite all the restrictions and current workload, undertake to regularly organize and conduct field studies as part of the educational process. In the absence of any external support for such practices, with the complication of their arrangement, the questions are — what goals do schools pursue, what meanings do the participants of these trips see. The analysis of various forms of educational process implementation, which are carried out by schools, is conducted. An empirical qualitative study revealed expectations and fixation of educational and social effects in different categories of participants (school principals, field trip managers, teachers, students, students’ parents).
