The central theme of the scientific book (continuation of the series Khmelitsky Sbornik)
is the preservation of the memory of the heroic struggle of the Soviet people for the free-
dom and independence of the Motherland. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of
artistic and journalistic works created by the participants of the Great Patriotic War, the
creative heritage of its participants and contemporaries, the issues of museification of
places associated with the most important events in the history of the Fatherland. The book
is dedicated to the memory of V.E. Kulakov (1944-2019) - the creator and first director of
the State Historical, Cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve of A.S. Griboyedov
"Khmelita". It is oriented to a wide readership, will be in demand by literary critics, histo-
rians, culturologists dealing with the Soviet period, issues of perception of the events of
military history, the study of literature of the Great Patriotic War and subsequent decades.
