This book is based on a comprehensive analysis of the results of a unique multidimensional all-Russian sociological survey conducted by RISI and FNISC RAS, which covered 6,000 respondents representing seven age groups of the country's population from 14 to 60+ years old, including four youth cohorts. Using a comparative approach, the study examines young people's perceptions of Russia's future and its place in the world, as well as the factors that shape the image of the country in different youth groups. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the socio-economic situation, value orientations and life strategies of Russian youth, their social well-being, employment, reproductive attitudes and health-saving behavior of young people, as well as their preferred leisure practices and information and communication environments. The authors conclude the book by addressing what separates different groups of young people and what distinguishes them from the country's adult population.
For sociologists, political scientists, public administration officials, philosophers, economists, historians, psychologists, legal scholars, as well as undergraduate and graduate students of relevant specialties.
