Научный интернет-текст как семиотический объект: постановка проблемы для мультимодального анализа
The article formulates the problem for the multimodal analysis of the academic web text’s semiotic characteristics. Digital platforms have a significant impact on the semiotic organization of a scientific text, which requires the development of new approaches for its study. Researchers face the tasks that were not previously relevant in relation to «classical» academic texts. It is important to determine the role that non-verbal components play in the meaning formation and interpretation of a scientific text, including layout elements, design elements, graphic annotation, font and color parameters, text perception controls, hyperlinks, etc. The authors propose an algorithm for the multimodal study of academic web texts, which includes the following steps: 1) a typological analysis of academic texts on the Internet and its technological environment; 2) structural and semiotic analysis of a text, including affordances and semiotic resources; 3) experimental video oculographic study; 4) structured interview of recipients; 5) semantic and contextual data analysis to determine the semantic correlations of the interview results with the content of the reference text; 6) UX / UI analysis.
