Театр Яна Амоса Коменского
The authors of this book invite you to a dialogue about the theater of Jan Amos Komensky. Without counting on a dialogue with you, we would have erred against the dialogical principle underlying the entire legacy of Jan Amos Komensky (1592-1670), the great teacher-reformer, theologian, gifted writer of the Baroque era. He never forgot about those for whom he wrote his essays, unfolding his thought, did not forget to answer in detail and argumentatively questions that might arise. Having set himself the super task of "improving human affairs," Komensky pointed out the way and urged to follow him, believing in the achievability of the goal. One of the means that are necessary to achieve this goal, Ya. A. Komensky considered school theater productions – a theatrical performance. The theme of theater in Komensky's work has been little studied abroad, and for Russian science this is an innovative direction. The book presents translations of two early plays by Ya. A. Komensky: "The Cynic Diogenes" and "Forefather Abraham". Teachers, theater lovers, cultural scientists, comenologists; scientists and students; teachers of secular and religious educational institutions, we invite you to join our dialogue.
