Globalization produced to life the ambitious project of the global constitutionalism but provoked a sharp conflict between processes of integration and fragmentation in international law, political relations and governance. This book consider such items as global legal development, constitutional reconfiguration of the international order, the clash of legal identities, regionalization of the legal regimes, the impact of constitutional populism, the role of constitutional justice and global governance in legal regulation of national and transnational political order. The author analyses main changes of the legal and political settlement associated with the phenomenon of Trumpism in USA, Brexit in Great Britain, prospects of EU integration project, ambivalent results of Post-Communism project fulfillment in countries of Eastern Europe, Post-Soviet region as well as transformation of new democracies in developing countries. Special attention is devoted to politico-legal transformation of Russia after 2020 constitutional amendments conducted in the direction of constitutional protectionism. Competition of different strategies of the legal globalization reveals the growing separation of the word elites regarding future of global governance but also demonstrates the importance of the new consolidated international policy of law. In this analysis of integration-fragmentation dilemma the author shows not only their conflict, but also cross-cutting issues and possible points for their cooperation, presenting his own concept of the global constitutionalism as a paradigm for the construction of the new world order
