The article analyzes methods of nominal word formation in the Kadar dialect in comparison with the literary Dargin language. The subject of the study is the word-building suffixes of nouns in the Kadar dialect in comparison with the suffixes of the literary Dargin language. The task of the paper is to study the categories of word formation in the Kadar dialect of the Dargin language. The paper uses methods of theoretical analysis, descriptive method, structural-semantic analysis in the study of word formation of nouns in the system of the Kadar dialect. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that a versatile study of dialects provides valuable material for further study of the history of the formation of the Dargin language and its historical dialectology. As a result of the study, the peculiarities of the word formation of nouns were revealed: the dialect is characterized by proper Kadar suffixes and proper Kadar stems and some suffixes which coincide with ones in the literary Dargin language. The practical significance lies in the fact that the results can be applied to the systematic study of other little-studied dialects of the Dargin language.
