The current stage of world cultural and civilizational development is characterized by the problem of cultural superiority, that is somewhat an attempt to create a unipolar world and that is why in this context the mechanisms of global governance require renewal. Therefore, it is quite fair to place the terms “global governance” and “cultural globalization” in the framework of one semantic dichotomy. Authors examine the phenomenon of modern global governance processes cultural dimension, which for the most part remains outside the field of scientific research. The theoretical part of the work contains an analysis of the Community of Shared Future for Mankind narrative context as a possible option for updating the global governance system based on the Chinese culture traditional values potential, as well as a comparison of Western and Chinese theories of international relations. At the same time, it is noted that the ethical nature of the latter is a clear advantage. Authors focus on the Chinese researchers' authentic materials analysis, comparing them with the official rhetoric of the Chinese leadership
