Abstract: the article considers the state of the rail freight transportation market in 2022. An overview of the main indicators of cargo and operational work is given, an analysis is made of the dynamics of loading the most important cargo, as well as container traffic. The dynamics and age of the freight car fleet are considered. The long-term dynamics of rates for the services of rolling stock operators is analyzed.
