Aggression is intentional, destructive and offensive behavior that violates the social norms and community rules, damages animate and inanimate objects, and physically or mentally harms individuals. Aggression can be caused by several factors and their combinations: individual (biology, emotions, reaction to stress, personality, experiences), sociodemographic (gender, socio-economic status), social (norms, roles, group behavior, stereotypes), or the physical environment (air pollution, noise, density, heat). Physical environmental stressors, in the absence of perceived or actual control (the ability to cope with or avoid stressors), become triggers aggression potentials. Contact with nature and a layout offering personal space, acoustics and temperature can decrease mental fatigue and stress, and lead to a reduction in aggression.
