Neural networks are no longer simple travel assistants; now they decide what to include on the route and what to skip. Road Injuries Leading Cause of Death Among Men Aged 10 to 39
Worldwide, road injuries are the leading cause of death among males aged 10–39. An international team of researchers reached this conclusion as part of the Global Burden of Disease Study 2023, analysing data from 204 countries between 1990 and 2023. Their findings have been published in The Lancet Public Health, with HSE University Professor Vasily Vlassov listed among the collaborators.

The paper examines the issues of researching the quality of life of young people, which is an innovative potential for the development of society and represents a certain prototype of the future of Russian society. It is proposed to use the methodology of cognitive modeling to study the quality of life of young people in the socio-economic environment of the country and state youth policy aimed at improving the quality of life of young people. A brief presentation about simulation cognitive modeling of complex systems is given and some results of cognitive modeling in the named subject area are given. A cognitive map was developed and possible scenarios for the development of situations on this model related to the quality of life of young people are presented. The possible influence of the education system and state youth policy on the quality of life of young people under different development scenarios is illustrated.
