The article justifies the methodological and instrumental approaches to compiling an explanatory dictionary of the thesaurus-encyclopaedic type. The dictionary under consideration reflects the core terminological system of cognitive linguistics and enables the evaluation of the connectivity of terms and the changes within the terminological system.
