The article is devoted to the analysis of the stages of formation antimonopoly legislation both in Russia and abroad, as well as to the study of current problems in the field of antimonopoly regulation in the Russian Federation and the development of a set of measures aimed at solving them. The paper shows the relevance of regulation of activity of monopolies in the economy; outline the main directions of antimonopoly activity in the Russian Federation at the present stage; the imperfection of the russian аntimonopoly legislation, identified the reasons and proposed specified public authorities the options of its improvement; given, illustrated with examples and supplemented with relevant statistics the criticism of the Federal Antimonopoly service of Russia (FAS of Russia); reflected already taken legal measures, and presents potential solutions to the existing problems of аntimonopoly regulation in Russia.
