Единое Лосева — многое Делеза: к вопросу онтологического различия
The article compares the philosophical systems of the two XX-century philosophers, Alexey Losev and Gilles Deleuze, proceeding from their respective attitudestoward the concept of the one in Plato and beyond. Losev’s study of the one is aimed at returning back to the concepts of ancient Platonism (along with Christian Neoplatonism). He focuses on the Neoplatonic interpretation of Plato’s dialogues and notes the importance of apophatic henology, which is not studied in European philosophy. Deleuze, criticizing the one, attempts to re-think the relationship between
the one and the many in favor not of identity (and, ultimately, unity) but of difference (the many), and sets himself a strictly philosophical task of deconstructing the metaphysics (and the transcendent). But Deleuze was not interested in the apophatic conception emphasized by Losev. However, despite the difference in purpose, there is an essential similarity between the two thinkers. Both reinterpret the concepts of classical metaphysics in an actual philosophical context, noting its irrelevance. The original treatment of this ancient fundamental theme once again, in the XX century
and simultaneously in Russian and European thought, shows both the crisis of classical philosophy and the presence of new languages and ways of philosophizing.
